White's career-high 36 points jolts the Spurs to 2-1 series lead over Nuggets

Derrick White had a career-high 36 points  on 15-of-21 shooting as the Spurs defeated the Denver Nuggets 118-108 at AT&T Center in San Antonio. He almost drilled every shot he made from the floor, though he sunks only 1-of-4 3-pointers.

After losing Dejounte Murray for the whole 2018-2019 season, White proved that he can also contribute and lead the Spurs to victory as he helped the Spurs clinch their playoff spot. In their first 3 games in their post-season run, he averages 23 points, four rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

San Antonio Spurs is now leading the series at 2-1 over the second seed Denver Nuggets. Demar Derozan had good night also as he had 25 points, along with five assists, and four rebounds. Lamarcus Aldridge added 18 points on 8-of-17 shooting while Rudy Gay tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Nikola Jokic led the Denver Nuggets on the losing effort, as he had 22 points, to go with eight rebounds, and seven assists. Malik Beasley added 20 points on 5-of-6 3-point shooting.

Jamal Murray only scored 6 points after scoring 24 points in Game 2. He limited his attempt in just 6 attempts, 5 of it from three-point range, as he sunks 2 of it. He was attacked the whole time at both ends of the floor by White and can't stop him on his career outing night.

Nuggets will face the Spurs again at AT&T Center in San Antonio for the Game 4 of their first round match up.
